Saint Louis

Saint Louis, often referred to as Ndar in Wolof, is one of Senegal's most historically significant cities, located in the northwest part of the country near the mouth of the Senegal River. Founded in 1659 by French colonialists, it was the first French settlement in Africa and served as the capital of French West Africa before Dakar.
